NewBorn Circumcision
Pre-procedure instructions
Do NOT feed your baby for at least 1 hour prior to your appointment.
Please bring your form of payment (Credit Card, Cash) and your insurance card.
Please bring milk or formula with you if you do not breastfeed so your baby can be fed after the procedure.
Please bring your pacifier and extra diapers and wipes.
Things to buy in preparation for care after the procedure to have at home.
Children’s Acetaminophen(Tylenol).
Petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and gauze will be provided for you by the clinic.
What to expect at your appointment
Check in at the front desk 10 minutes prior to the appointment.
Make procedure payment in full. You will review and sign consent forms.
You will be taken to a nursery/exam room. The doctor will then examine your baby in the nursery and topical numbing medication will be applied. The doctor will then explain the procedure in full detail and answer any questions you may have.
Your baby will then be taken to the procedure room. You may choose to come with your baby to the procedure room, or wait in the nursery.
The circumcision procedure will be performed, and should take approximately 10 minutes.
Your baby will be returned to the nursery where you will be able to feed your baby.
After about 20 minutes we will re-examine your baby and review post procedure instructions with you.

We offer a 1 week follow up appointment if desired or if you have any concerns.

Your baby will then be taken to the procedure room. You will be asked to wait in the nursery.
Your baby will be returned to the nursery where you will be able to feed your baby.
After about 30 minutes we will re-examine your baby and review post procedure instructions and exercises with you.
